Kat StoutsenbergerAugust 10, 1989 ~ March 22, 2012

Kaitlin Stoutsenberger, 22, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday March 22, in Spanish Fork, Utah. She is the youngest of three daughters born to James and Joan Stoutsenberger. Her grandparents are long time residents Dean and Lois Dudley of Spanish Fork.

Kat was born on August 10, 1989 at Shepherd AFB, Texas. She became interested in singing and performing at a very young age, perhaps inspired by her great-great-great-great grandfather, William Clayson, a composer of LDS hymns. Her gift was undeniable. Kat dedicated her time, talent and heart to the choirs of Spanish Fork High School. She was a member of the SFHS Ambassadors, a showchoir that won the grand championships at the Fame Events in both Los Angeles and Branson, MO. She performed the lead role in South Pacific, and was a member of Encore that same year. She graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 2008.

In the years that followed, Kat performed in dozens of productions. She had the lead role in Pirates of Penzance at the Valley Center Playhouse in 2010. Her dream role, however, was to be Tracy Turnblad in the musical Hairspray. She fulfilled that dream twice in 2011, at The Main Street Theater in Midvale, Utah, and Spanish Fork Community Theater’s production in July. She was excited to get started helping with SFCT’s upcoming production of My Fair Lady. Kat was also looking forward to attending the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York, where she had been accepted as a student.

Kat touched the lives of so many with her cheerful, outgoing personality. Her two sisters, Laura and Kimberly, as well as her Grand Parents Daisy Stoutsenberger, Dean and Lois Dudley plus numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew and friends will have her in their hearts forever.
