Utah has several performing arts charter schools that serve grades K-12.  They vary in location, course offerings, and grade served.  The goal of charter schools is to provide additional educational options with quality outcomes for students and parents. Charter schools are public schools open to all students. They operate on public funds without tuition. They also vary widely across the United States. East Hollywood High

Provide authentic, career preparatory training to students with a passion for careers in film production, digital media production, and acting.
Provide solid liberal arts education to students in preparation for college entry, as well as assisting students at risk of not graduating.

Pioneer High School for the Performing Arts

Located in Lehi, Utah, Pioneer High School is a tuition-free public charter school. It offers world-class training for Utah students in dance, drama, music, musical theater, visual arts, and theater technology while providing cutting edge curriculum and the opportunity for accelerated learning or career training. All of these opportunities are provided at state-of-the-art facilities, equipped with numerous amenities, taught by some of the most talented instructors and industry experts in the state.

Salt Lake Arts Academy

Salt Lake Arts Academy is a public charter school, grades 5-8, teaching the state core with an emphasis of the arts in all subjects.

Salt Lake School for the Performing Arts

The Salt Lake School for the Performing Arts (SLSPA) was approved by the Salt Lake City School District as a new charter high school for students who are passionate about the Performing Arts; Music, Theatre or Dance.  The school opened in the fall of 2006 and in fall of 2011, will be located at 2291 South 2000 East.   SLSPA students attend their traditional core classes at Highland High School and their performing arts related classes at the Salt Lake School for the Performing Arts.   There are no tryouts, no auditions and no tuition!

Syracuse Arts Academy
